Searching for text within a web help page

Describes how to search for specific text within a topic.

To search for text within a page, carry out the following steps:

  1. Open the desired topic. You can do this by navigating the table of contents, by searching for the topic in the Index tab, or by using the full-text search.
  2. Click somewhere within the topic and press Ctrl- F.
  3. Type your search term in the find bar and specify the search options.
If the search is successful, the web help viewer highlights the first occurrence of the text string. To continue searching for further occurrences, continue pressing Enter, or use whatever buttons your particular browser provides to implement a Find next or Find previous function.
