With TestArchitect, screenshots associated with a
local test result can be attached to a JIRA bug.
Note: Repository test results do not contain captured screenshots; hence, this feature is
not available to a repository test result.
Ensure that the following requirements are met before adding a single screenshot to
a JIRA bug:
TestArchitect test machine has registered the JIRA server.
- You are granted permission to attach screenshots to a JIRA bug.
- The size of the screenshot does not exceed the maximum size specified on the
JIRA server. (If necessary, contact your system administrator to determine this
- The current JIRA bug's status is not
- At present, TestArchitect-JIRA integration supports versions
and 6 of JIRA.
To attach a screenshot of a local test result to a JIRA bug, complete the following
In the TestArchitect explorer tree, open a local test result
whose screenshot you wish to attach to a JIRA bug by double-clicking the test
Select the Result Details tab.
Invoke the Recorder Screenshot dialog box by doing one of
- Click to expand details
and select the screenshot to be attached.
- Click the Show screenshot viewer
icon on the main panel's icon bar. Use the
Previous Action and Next
Action buttons to navigate to the action containing the
screenshot to be attached.
In the Recorder Screenshot dialog box, select the
screenshot, and click the paperclip icon .
The Attachment Screenshot dialog box appears with
the default user name and password configured as specified in Registering the
Tip: At your option, you may override the default
user name and password with your own credentials for an existing account on
the JIRA server.
In Bug ID, enter the JIRA bug ID to which you wish to
attach the screenshot.
If the screenshot is successfully attached to the JIRA bug, a message to
that effect is displayed.
